About Akiko
After experiencing Aerofunk, Latinaero, Salsa and it was during 200 hours Fusion Belly dance education Akiko realised the benefit of combining yoga in her dance practice to dramatically improve her core strength and flexibility. Later in order to gain knowledge in Yoga, she earned AYA200 Teacher Training from Inside Yoga Frankfurt Germany, Certificates of Beauty-Yoga and Hatha-Yoga from IYC Japan and finished Pilates education in Zurich. She teaches in German, Japanese and English.

Based on her own experience, she is convinced that Yoga is an integral act, especially for postpartum as her posture changed after the period of pushing Baby-buggy and carrying the baby all the time. When she was working full time in the office, Yoga was a lifesaver, as long sitting made the back, shoulder and neck area became stiff.

Akiko enjoys sharing her experience and knowledge and is very passionate about yoga. She believes that her own experience as an office worker, dancer and a mother to maintain good posture, figure and flexibility is worth sharing.

Hatha Yoga
Hatha yoga is the most common form of yoga practiced today and is often called a "dual" type of yoga because it includes a duality between two opposites: the sun (in Hinda, "ha") and the moon ("tha"). The union " of the pairs of opposites". Hatha yoga classes use the breath to create a link between the body and the mind. It builds flexibility and strength while minimising the chance of injury. This well-rounded style balances and opens the body. You will learn to still the mind and be present in the moment.

What is Shinrinyoku-Forest bathing?
Forest bathing is the practice of taking a short, leisurely visit to a forest for health benefits. The practice originated in Japan where it is called Shinrinyoku  (森林浴) in Japanese. Studies in Japan have measured changes in immune markers and stress hormones in people who regularly walked in specific forests in Japan. In addition, people with diabetes but not taking insulin found substantial benefits by lowering blood glucose levels.
